Which Surface Laptop it is
Each Surface Laptop generation maps to a processor generation, and the step from the Laptop 3 to the Laptop 5 is a meaningful one. Check the model in Settings, System, About, where Windows names it outright.
The fabric keyboard deck
On colours with the fabric deck, stains and wear show quickly and cannot be cleaned away completely. A clean deck keeps it at Excellent. A marked one is Good, which still sells.
The touch screen
Surface screens are bonded and costly to replace. Touch has to work everywhere, and a panel free of marks and pressure spots is worth having.
Memory and storage
Surface memory is soldered. 16GB is the configuration buyers look for, and the 8GB models sell to a smaller audience.
Wear and tear we are happy with.
We only buy working Windows laptops. If your Surface Laptop is 10th gen or newer, boots properly and the touch screen, keyboard, trackpad and ports all work, this wear just sets its grade.
