The TUF is ASUS's value gaming line, and it is a very common first gaming laptop. That works in your favour when you sell. There is always somebody looking for a TUF with a decent card, and the parts are well known.
The model name tells you most of what you need. The A models run AMD Ryzen processors and the F models run Intel, and the number after it is the screen size. For pricing, neither matters nearly as much as the graphics card, which runs from the RTX 3050 at the entry level to the RTX 4070 in the A16.

3050 or something better
The TUF is sold with a wide spread of cards, and the gap between an RTX 3050 and an RTX 4060 in the same chassis is the biggest single difference in the offer. Check yours before you start, because people often remember it as higher than it is.
A or F matters less than you think
Ryzen or Intel, the second-hand buyer is mostly paying for the card. The calculator asks for the model so it can match it, but do not expect an Intel F15 and an AMD A15 with the same card to be far apart.
Fan dust
TUFs live on desks, beds and carpets, and their intakes pull in everything. One that has never been opened usually runs hot. A clean before you sell is a small job that helps the grade.
The keyboard
The TUF's keys take a beating, and shine on WASD is normal and fine. Keys that no longer register are different, because a gaming laptop with a dead key is not a working gaming laptop to the next buyer.
Wear and tear we are happy with.
We only buy working gaming laptops, in Excellent or Good condition. A TUF that will not boot, has a cracked or flickering screen, or crashes and shows artefacts under load is one we cannot take. Ordinary wear from being played on is a different thing, and none of the below rules yours out.
- WASD and arrow keys worn shiny, or with the legends half gone
- Scuffs and light scratches on the lid
- Palm rest worn smooth from long sessions
- A battery that holds less than it used to, as long as it is not swollen
- Sticker residue, or a vinyl skin still on the lid
- RAM or SSD upgraded from the factory spec
- Original box long since thrown away
- Scuffed lid corners from years in a backpack
