That is all the calculator needs. It takes about a minute.
We buy HP Envys with Intel 10th gen processors and newer, including Core Ultra. Below 10th gen, we decline. To check yours, open Settings, System, About: i7-1065G7 is 10th gen and qualifies, i7-8565U is 8th gen and does not.
The Envy sits above the Pavilion in HP's range, with an aluminium body, better speakers and, on many models, a touch or OLED screen. That premium carries into the second-hand market when the laptop has been looked after. Buyers of a used Envy are paying for the finish, so dents, a marked screen or a floppy x360 hinge cost more here than on a plastic laptop.
Many Envy x360 models use AMD Ryzen. If yours does, the calculator will tell you whether we can price it, and you can WhatsApp us the processor name if you are unsure. We only buy working Envys.

What affects your offer.
Generation and chip
As on every Windows laptop we buy, the processor generation is the biggest single factor. An Envy with a 12th or 13th gen i7 is in a different bracket from a 10th gen i5.
The screen option
Envys came with standard, touch and OLED panels. An OLED or high-resolution screen in perfect condition adds value. Burn-in or marks that show when the screen is on take it away.
Aluminium condition
The metal body is part of why people buy an Envy. Light scratches are Good. Clean corners and an unmarked lid are Excellent, and that difference matters more here than on a plastic laptop.
Hinge on the x360
On an x360, the hinge gets folded hundreds of times. A firm hinge that holds the screen at any angle is worth noticeably more than one that has gone soft.
Wear and tear we are happy with.
We only buy working Windows laptops. If your Envy is 10th gen or newer, boots properly and its screen, keyboard, touch and ports all work, this wear just sets the grade.
- Light scratches on the aluminium lid or base
- Rubbed edges from tablet mode on an x360
- Shiny keys or a polished trackpad
- A battery that has dropped to half a day
- Missing pen or charger
- No box
- Sticker residue on the lid
We buy Windows laptops working, in Excellent or Good condition. A cracked screen or a laptop that will not start is something we cannot buy for now. What we can do with a broken one.
Upgrading? Put it towards the new one.
Most people move to a Core Ultra Envy x360 or a Dell XPS. Envy owners usually want the same premium feel in a newer chip, and a clean Envy is a solid start on the next one.
