The G15 is Dell's value gaming laptop, sitting well below Alienware in price and styling. It is thick, fairly heavy and built around a big rear vent, and it is a popular first gaming machine because it gives a proper RTX card at an accessible price.
The G15s we see most carry an RTX 3050, 3060 or 4060. Other G-series laptops are priced on their card, up to the RTX 4070. The service tag underneath tells you exactly what yours shipped with if you are unsure.

What affects your offer.
Card tier
The G15 was sold with a wide range of cards. A 4060 G15 is a different proposition from a 3050 G15, and the gap is bigger than any cosmetic difference.
The rear vent area
The G15 exhausts a lot of heat out of the back, and the plastic around it and the fans behind it collect dust. Clean vents and normal fan noise help the grade.
Keyboard condition
Shine and faded WASD are fine. Missing keycaps or keys that do not register are what move a laptop out of the working grade.
Charger included
The G15 needs its own power brick to run the card fully. Send it with the laptop.
Wear and tear we are happy with.
We only buy working gaming laptops, in Excellent or Good condition. A G15 that will not boot, has a cracked or flickering screen, or crashes and shows artefacts under load is one we cannot take. Ordinary wear from being played on is a different thing, and none of the below rules yours out.
- WASD and arrow keys worn shiny, or with the legends half gone
- Scuffs and light scratches on the lid
- Palm rest worn smooth from long sessions
- A battery that holds less than it used to, as long as it is not swollen
- Sticker residue, or a vinyl skin still on the lid
- RAM or SSD upgraded from the factory spec
- Original box long since thrown away
- Scuffs on the plastic around the rear vents
We buy Windows laptops working, in Excellent or Good condition. A cracked screen or a laptop that will not start is something we cannot buy for now. What we can do with a broken one.
